The Easy half
Why lightweight mode needs no banner
Consent rules are triggered by storing information on a visitor's device and by processing personal data. Lightweight mode does neither. No cookies, no local storage, no device fingerprint, and no cross-site identifier.
We derive a country from the IP address at the moment of the request and then discard the address. Nothing we keep can be traced back to a person, which is why no banner is required.
The Honest half
Advanced mode does need consent
Session replays and heatmaps record what happened on the page, which means storing an identifier for the length of a session. That crosses the line into territory where you need a banner, and we can't pretend otherwise.
Replays hide input fields by default, and you can mark any element to be excluded. Run advanced mode only on the sites where the insight is worth the banner.

Lightweight mode processes no personal data. Complete mode runs on consent you collect.
CCPA and CPRA
We never sell or share personal information, because we never hold any that identifies a person.
PECR
No cookies or device storage in lightweight mode, so the consent requirement does not apply.
Data processing agreement
Available on request, signed, before you pay us anything.
Where data lives
One hosting location on infrastructure we run ourselves, not rented from a hyperscaler. Named in your DPA.
Deletion and export
Export everything as CSV or JSON whenever you want. Ask for deletion and it's gone, not archived.
Your data is yours
Never resold, never brokered, never used to train a model, and never fed to an advertising business. We make money from subscriptions, which means you're the customer and not the product.
